“Yoga and mindfulness are not just practices—they are lifelong tools that help us calm our bodies, focus our minds, and heal our hearts. Every child and adult deserves the chance to experience that sense of peace and empowerment.”

Professional Journey

Amy began her career in medicine, completing her psychiatry residency with a focus on child psychiatry. However, her path evolved as she recognized her true calling: integrating education, mindfulness, and movement to support children and families.

During her years in New York City, Amy taught yoga to students in Spanish Harlem while also student teaching in public and private schools. She conducted extensive research on the benefits of yoga and meditative practices in education, citing significant improvements in student focus, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

Now based in Williamstown, Massachusetts, Amy works at the Center for Learning in Action at Williams College, where she helps develop and sustain outreach programs, teaches courses on mindfulness and wellbeing, and empowers students to design wellness initiatives for their peers.

A Lifelong Yogi

Amy has been practicing yoga since the age of 9. As a nationally ranked junior tennis player and later a varsity athlete at Williams College, yoga became her grounding practice. Over the years, through pregnancies, surgeries, injuries, and personal challenges, yoga and mindfulness remained her anchor.

Her teaching style is adaptive and compassionate, meeting each student where they are—whether child, adult, beginner, or advanced. Amy believes yoga is a lifelong tool for self-compassion, resilience, and empowerment.

Personal Life

Amy lives in the beautiful Berkshires with her husband, Ben, their three children—Jack, Ruby, and Henry—and their two beloved labs, Saffie and Mindi. Mindi also serves as Amy’s service dog, offering companionship and support.

Outside of teaching, Amy enjoys writing, knitting, hiking in the woods, and creating safe spaces for community healing.
